Privacy Policy

Petra Moore LLC, doing business as Petra Publications ("Petra Publications," "we," "us," or "our"), operates petrapublications.org (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Contact form. When you send us a message through the Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message content.
- Newsletter sign-up. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and your name, if you provide it).
- Donations and purchases. When you give a gift, start a monthly support subscription, or buy something from the Store, your payment is processed by Stripe (and, for physical merchandise, fulfilled by Printful). We do not receive or store your full card number. We do receive basic transaction information such as your name, email address, billing details, and the amount and date of your payment.
Information collected automatically:
- Standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected through our hosting provider (Netlify) for security and performance purposes.
- If you watch an embedded YouTube video on the Site, YouTube may set its own cookies and collect data according to Google's own privacy policy.
- Our email newsletter provider (Kit, formerly ConvertKit) may use cookies or tracking pixels on our sign-up form and in the emails we send, to tell us whether a newsletter was opened or a link was clicked.
We do not knowingly collect any more personal information than what is described above, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to messages sent through the Contact page
- Send the newsletter to people who have subscribed, and process unsubscribe requests
- Process donations, subscriptions, and store orders, and provide related customer support
- Keep the Site secure and working properly
- Comply with legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting records related to donations and sales)
Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with the service providers who help us run the Site, including:
- Stripe — payment processing for donations and digital purchases
- Printful — order fulfillment for physical merchandise
- Kit (ConvertKit) — newsletter delivery
- Netlify — website hosting and contact form handling
- GitHub — hosting of the Site's underlying code (does not receive visitor personal information)
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required to by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Petra Publications or others.
Amazon Associates disclosure
As an Amazon Associate, Petra Publications earns from qualifying purchases made through Amazon links on the Site. Amazon's own privacy policy applies to any information Amazon collects once you leave our Site.
Cookies
The Site itself does not set its own tracking cookies. Some embedded third-party content (YouTube videos, our Kit newsletter form) may set cookies as described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe. Every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also reply to any newsletter email with "UNSUBSCRIBE" and we will remove you promptly.
- Access, correction, or deletion. You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by reaching out through the Contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time.
- Do Not Track. Our Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to request a copy of your data or ask that it be deleted. Contact us and we will do our best to honor these requests.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep contact form messages and newsletter subscriber information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and operate the newsletter, or until you ask us to delete it. Donation and purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as they are posted on this page, with the effective date updated above.
