A Book that Helps you Know the Truth
This is a fantastic book that includes biblical philosophy, pushes against the neo-orthodox (new theology), and helps to reorient the Christian's mind towards a Christ centered Theology.
Schaeffer doesn't shy away from the truth, and never backs down on his idea that Biblical Christianity isn't just A truth, it's THE truth (p. 142-143).
As such, he is writing a book that is full of Christian philosophy and gives a biblical worldview through a philosophical lens. He does so, again, by appealing to historical orthodoxy (p. 93, 94).
(I forgot to add this part to the video, but...) His desire with the book is to point the Church back to its Biblical, Christ Centered start, "It will not be a perfect Church, but it should be a true one... It is my hope that this book may be useful in helping orthodox evangelicalism so that it will be a thing of strength and beauty in the second half of the twentieth century" (p. 171, 189).
This volume is 350 pages, and includes notes, an index to all three titles, and a glossary to book one.
